HAVING A BAD DAY?

In a hospital's Intensive Care Unit, patients always died
in the same bed, on Sunday morning, at about 11:00 a.m.,
regardless of their medical condition.

This puzzled the doctors and some even thought it had
something to do with the supernatural. No one could solve
the mystery as to why the deaths occurred around 11:00 a.m

Sunday, so a team of experts was assembled to
investigate the cause of the incidents.

The next Sunday morning, a few minutes before 11:00 am.,
all of the doctors and nurses nervously waited outside
the ward to see for themselves what the terrible phenomenon
was all about. Some were holding wooden crosses, prayer
books, and other holy objects to ward off the evil spirits.

Just before the clock struck 11:00, Pookie Johnson, the part-
time Sunday cleaner, entered the ward and unplugged the life
support system so he could use the vacuum cleaner.

HE IS ALWAYS WATCHING...

""A teenage girl about 17 had gone to visit some friends one evening and time passed quickly as each shared their various experiences of the past year. She ended up staying longer than planned, and had to walk home alone. She wasn't afraid because it was a small town and she lived only a few blocks away. As she walked along under the tall elm trees, Diane asked God to keep her safe from harm and danger. When she reached the alley, which was a short cut to her house, she decided to take it. However, halfway down the alley she noticed a man standing at the end as though he were waiting for her. She became uneasy and began to pray, asking for God's protection. Instantly a comforting feeling of quietness and security wrapped round her, she felt as though someone was walking with her. When she reached the end of the alley, she walked right past the man and arrived home safely. The following day, she read in the newspaper that a young girl had been raped in the same alley just twenty minutes after she had been there. Feeling overwhelmed by this tragedy and the fact that it could have been her, she began to weep. Thanking the Lord for her safety and to help this young woman, she decided to go to the police station. She felt she could recognize the man, so she told them her story. The police asked her if she would be willing to look at a lineup to see if she could identify him. She agreed and immediately pointed out the man she had seen in the alley the night before. When the man was told he had been identified, he immediately broke down and confessed. The officer thanked Diane for her bravery and asked if there was anything they could do for her. She asked if they would ask the man one question. Diane was curious as to why he had not attacked her. When the policeman asked him, he answered, "Because she wasn't alone. She had two tall men walking on either side of her." Did you know that 98% of us will not stand up for God?""
PS: God is always there in your heart and loves you no matter what.....and if you stand up 4 him he will stand up for you. Always have it at the back of your mind that if he His eyes is on the sparrows, how much more you and i? Amazingly, whether you like it or not, you're never alone and this is what that has kept me going for a long time""

Never a dull moment last weekend...

My weekend was fun to the fullest, all thanks to the wonderful friends that God has blessed me with.

It all started on Friday evening, an evening with my friends Jumo & co. We went to cubes to have some drinks... I'm not a drunkard oh just a little wine for the belly. Afterwards, we had dinner at barcelos then we headed back to the mainland to continue our Friday night groove. When we got to the mainland, J-boy (that's what i call Jumo) called more of our friends to join us at our regular bar. And u guys should guess what? i am the only lady in their midst and that's why i enjoy their company so much. We've been together way back. I got home a little bit late and happy coz I've not had such fun for a long time.

A call woke me up on Saturday morning telling me to pick up my invitation card for an event at planet 1. That means i have to bust my Saturday meeting at the church... that will be hard coz we have been told that no more excuses. To make matters worse, tried calling my unit coordinator but could not get through to him so i ended up sending him a text message (which he did not get) The events starts for 6:00 pm and i did not get there until 7:30 pm. I saw some old friends there even though the person i was hoping to sit with was not around never the less, i had fun without her. It was full of star in the Nigerian movie and music industry. A lot of people did their thing but the one i enjoyed most was when D-banj (koko master) came up on stage to sing. Whoa! dinner time was something else though i don't eat much, i try small sha. I had to leave on time coz of church on Sunday. I got home tired but i had to watch sound city specials (i can't miss it for anything in the world) so i ended up sleeping late.

I woke up very late on Sunday morning (very much on like me coz i don't joke with my Sunday morning) even though i could not sleep well coz it was raining heavily. I Managed to get to the church under the rain with the use of my umbrella and shower cap. After the first service, my friend asked me if i will like to go for the 'City People fashion and style award' and i screamed a big yessssssssss though i don't have anything pink to wear (that's the dress code). As soon as i left church, i went to look for a dress to buy, and i got a cute dress to suit the occasion. I landed at the venue (civic center) with my friend looking beautiful and Chicky. It was fun being there and sitting close to those celebrities we watch on T.V and read about them in the dailies. My friend was like 'madam u no wan go again? abeg make we dey go oh work dey tomorrow. We had to leave and i was very happy.

When i was praying that night, i prayed specially for all the wonderful friends that God has given to me because without them, my weekend would have been business as usual. I love and appreciate everyone them coz they are always watching my back and like what i will always tell them, they are more than a friend to me, they are part of me that's why i will always go an extra mile for them. Thank you all for your friendship over the year, "a a ma ri ra wa ba oh"! :)

N;B It continued on Monday evening with one of my friends taking me to galleria to see "the last legion". Only me... enjoyment galore!
